A packed 2008 summer MMA calendar
This summer is going to be one of the most exiting seasons in the arena of MMA. As the Ultimate Fighter 7 kicked off on the 21st of June this summer is going to be a tremendous important stretch for MMA. This season is also packed with two blockbuster fighting championship cards thus making MMA more notable. The early return of MMS to CBS and Donald Trumps latest baby, Affliction the culminations of two grand prix tournaments in Japan would add fuel to the fire.
As per the vice president of EliteXC, Jared Shaw the opponent for the 170 pound title is going to be determined later this week. The potential challengers may include the league champion of international fight Jay Hieron or the former champion of Bodog Nick Thompson or Paul Daley.
EliteXC has also started to work on lining up a card for the month of October with Kimbo Slice who is going to fight with Brett Rodgers. A rematch is also possible between the lightweight champion of EliteXC K.J.Noons and his rival Nick Diaz.
In addition to all the announced fights of CBS Showtime is also going to broadcast many live fights which are going to act as lead-ins to the announced events. This is also going to include an exciting featherweight Mark Oshiro or Bao Quach against Wilson Reis.
