Scott Smith’s to get one more shot at the EliteXC

Robbie Lawler will give another shot at the EliteXC middleweight to Scott Smith. The main event of EliteXC is on July 26. On May 31 in the third round, Smith took an unintentional finger to the eye. The two UFC veterans went to a no contest in the sole title session on the first CBS-EliteXC show.

As soon Smith responded that he could not see, the doctors called the session off. In September 2007, Lawler (15-4) stopped Murilo 'Ninja' Rua at EliteXC 'Uprising' in Hawaii and won the game.

All of Lawler’s last five wins were by TKO and therefore he was victorious in his previous four sessions. Card Smith (13-4) knocked down Pete Sell on The Ultimate Fighter 4 Finale and was signed by EliteXC. Smith knocked out Kyle Noke merely seven seconds into the 2nd round debuting for EliteXC in February.

It will be a very exciting match and many MMA fans are waiting for this event eagerly. Scott Smith would definitely like to make the most of this second chance. The event is already getting a lot of attention with just a month left for the final showdown.
