Lorenzo Fertitta quits, will work full time with the UFC
Lorenzo Fertitta will be working full time with the UFC and has left his position as President of Stations Casino.
UFC President Dana White was referring this news two weeks ago. She had an interview with the ESPN magazine and stated that this is “going to blow people's minds”. The news as compared to TV deal may not be as glamorous. Fertitta is focusing on the UFC and has stepped away from heading one of the largest gaming companies in the world. Therefore, speaks loudly about the potential growth of the UFC.
Fertitta said that he and his family have built Station Casino and now it is a multi-billion dollar company. She also added that UFC had grown tremendously in the last eight years. Therefore he and his brother decided that they would be better in a divide and conquer mode. Lorenzo will work at UFC and his brother will stay at Station Casino.
Fertitta will be working on a project that includes securing of additional major sponsors and continual global expansion of the UFC. About 90 percent of the UFC is shared between Lorenzo and his bother, the other 10 percent is owned by White.
