It's a make-or-break situation for Fabricio Werdum

Mora is the WBC Super Welterweight Champion

Vernon Forrest was outclassed by Mora in the WBC super welterweight championship title bout held on Saturday. Two of the judges scored Mora 115-113 and 116-112 while the third judge scored him114-114.

Mora who hails from Los Angeles humbled Forrest in the second half through his extraordinary movement and strong short punches. Mora has the honour of being the first world champion to appear on the “The Contender” boxing show.

Mora is glad that God has fulfilled his dream of becoming the welterweight champion, for which he also worked hard and did not get overconfident.

Forrest (40-3, 29 KOS) gave tough fight in the early rounds, but appeared exhausted in the fifth round. Then onwards he went on losing energy and was helped off the stool by trainer Buddy McGrit before start of 12th and final round.

Mora the winner of the world title fight was the fifth contender alum.

In another fight, Williams, from Augusta Ga, scored a stunning win over Quintana, half way through the round. With a flurry of punches he put Quintana down, who regained his feet but was floored again by a severe left hook from Williams. Referee Ed Claudio stopped the fight as Quintana took Williams to the floor while falling. Williams got on to knees and raised arms in celebration of winning the title he had lost few months ago.
