Eddie Alvarez

Eddie the famous wrestler was born and bought up in Kensington section of Philadelphia. He got familiar with martial arts since his childhood, where this activity was carried out in every school. Martial Arts seemed like a source of entertainment to him when he watched the film “Rocky” of his times.
“Fighting” was his passion right from his the times he was a child. As a kid he would wear boxing gloves and fight with other kids in his home street. His biggest motivator was his father who taught him how to throw a proper and powerful punch. These coaching sessions with his father were conducted late in the night.
In his high school time, with active participation in other sports like football and basketball he finally found his keen interest in “Wrestling”, which was the most famous martial art technique then. He persuaded this interest further with his first match for North catholic. Alvarez then played at the national level during his junior and senior years.
With his interest growing further he decided to dedicate his life in building himself as an athlete. He took up weight training and was found competing to a different group of wrestlers. This was wrestling that took place all over the city, usually at bars. These were fights that were unplanned and prompt as compared to wrestling. Here anyone could voluntarily declare a fight and another opponent would agree spontaneously. This was usually a team fight with two on three, three on two etc. He started to take part in these fights every weekend.
Alvarez is currently associated with “Fight factory” and is titled the “MFC champion”. He plays for the city of Philadelphia and has participated in two-submission wrestling fights. One of his biggest achievements is of winning the “Welterweight belt”, which is a part of the “Mixed fighting championships”.
Eddie always believed that “there is nothing that cannot be achieved if you want it, and if you are willing to put in all the effort”. This spirit of his has made him one of the best wrestlers in the world today. He also believes that “Loosing is never an option”, which shows in his records of 7 wins and 0 looses.
He finds wrestling irresistible and fights with a lot of passion. He loves everything about his work and is always on a look out for further enhancing his skills. He is one of the biggest motivators for the youth wrestlers today.
Eddie Alvarez is one man who believes in his dreams and works hard enough to turn them into a reality.
