It's a make-or-break situation for Fabricio Werdum

Jonathan goulet

Jonathan goulet

Born on July 13, 1979, Jonathan Goulet is a martial artist. Currently he fights for the Ultimate Fighting Championship as a Welterweight. He made his debut with Ultimate Fight Night 2, and defeated Jay Hieron in the very first fight. The French Canadian mixed fighter, is ranked as number two Welterweight fighter, after Georges St. Pierre.

Jonathan Goulet has never lost in TKO in the Quebec-based association which includes nine wins. However, after winning initially at the Ultimate Fighting Championship, he suffered a loss at the hands of Duane Ludwig. He later emerged victorious and won against Luke Cummo, a fan favorite at Ultimate Fight Night 5. Nicknamed as "The Road Warrior," Goulet is an ambitious person.

‘The road warrior’ became quite violent during his fight against Jay Hieron in the Ultimate Fight Championship. However, seeing a lot of blood oozing out of the opponents head, he asked the fight to be stopped but was unable to stop the fight. The news dominated in the wrestling world for quite a long time. This incident really upset him. He continued the fight only at the insistence of his opponent, Jay Hieron, and won it. That was his first win for UFC. As a result of the incident, he gained instant recognition among the masses, though he still has not watched the tape of the fight himself.

With the fight against Duane ‘Bang’ Ludwig, a famous kick boxer, ‘The Road Warrior’ returns to the Hard Rock. He has no personal enmities with any of the opponents, and only aims to win. He prepares himself for every fight and expects them to be a big fight. Jonathan Goulet has been a crowd favorite because of his winning attitude. The UFC team consists of world class fighters from Canada such as David Loiseau, St. Pierre and Patrick Cote in addition to ‘the Road Warrior’. They help each other in techniques of fighting.

Jonathan believes that constant interaction between them has made them world class fighters. Besides, it has also made them mentally strong fighters. He believes in his dreams passionately. The philosophy of his life is to work hard to materialize your dreams and not waste away your life dreaming. He was not always a great wrestler. He had to work hard to make his place in the wrestling world. ‘The Road Warrior’ was initially not consistent, and the losses were the waking call for him.

He worked hard to improve his consistency levels, and as a result, today is a part of United Fight Championships. He has now become comparatively more aggressive and has changed the mental attitude towards the game. He trained under St. Pierre for some time, and the results are for all of us to see. He aims to be the number one fighter in the world with no bloodshed.
