Jorge Santiago is a Brazilian Mixed Martial Art (MMA) fighter who specializes in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu technique. He is a fighting prodigy with thirteen career wins in free style Mixed Martial Fight. Jorge stands tall at six feet one inches tall with eighty four kilogram in weight. He started his professional fight career in the year 2001. Jorge has been a fight enthusiast since his childhood and this childhood passion turned into full fledged passion as he was carried with the thrill of fighting. His tremendous fighting capability made him a member of American Top Team and he became a regular in MMA fighting circuit. He is also a UFC fight champion and feels that given a chance, he can prove his fight prowess to all the participants who are going to be his opponents.

Jorge Santiago, who before joining MMA and UFC was a martial art instructor, feels that fighting in MMA and other free style events give him a high as he is able to utilize his martial art techniques in which he won a black belt.

MMA (Mixed Martial Art) event is a bone smashing game where there is a constant fear to life as a wrong move can be fatal enough to kill an opponent forever; MMA is a professional game where a novice cannot handle the fight pressure as it is a high charged game full of uncertainties. It is a free style game where there are no strict rules; usually MMA is an amalgamation of various fighting techniques such as Kung-Fu, Kick boxing, Muay Thai, Greco-Roman wrestling, Judo Prantakion and wrestling techniques. MMA fighter is well versed in various aspects of fighting techniques as he has to be adept in various fighting methods with superb fitness levels. MMA fighter has to keep special focus on his agility and muscle strength as his fight depends on his quick reflexes and presence of mind by which he can win over his opponent. Some of the illegal techniques in MMA fighting include: full nelson strikes on the opponent, eye-gouging, attack the groin region intentionally and any illegal grabs towards body such as scratching, pinching and kicking the opponent.

Jorge Santiago feels that his favorite technique is right hand grabs which he feels is enough to weaken his opponent. The track record of Jorge can be described as; he won against Andrei Semenov, Justin Levens, Thomas Russell, Sidney Machado, Leopoldo Serao, Chris Liguori, Takuya Wada, John Cronk, LaVerne Clark, Derrick Noble, Justin Wieman, Jay Martin and Jose Rodriguez. He lost against Alan Belcher, Chris Leben, Joey Villasenor, Jordan Radev, Diego Sanchez, Keith Wisniewski and Manvel Gamburyan. 

When asked about his inspiration and his hero, Jorge rates his father as a tremendous influence over his professional fighting. For Jorge Santiago, martial art will remain his first love which brought fame and name through the field of professional fight circuit of MMA and UFC. He is a determined fighter who gives his hundred percent every time he goes in the ring.
