It's a make-or-break situation for Fabricio Werdum

Jose Landi Jons

Jose Landi Jons

Jose Landi-Jons, nicknamed Pele, was born on the 15th of September in the year 1973 in the city of Curitiba, Parana, Brazil. He was appropriately nick named Pele for his fighting style and performances. He specializes in the Muay Thai and the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) fighting styles and has been a constant performer so far. His win-loss record of 23-12 does not do justice to his immense talent and to his skills. Pele is trained by a very able trainer, Sergio Cunha, who also acts as his manager.

Jose Landi-Jons was a member of the Chute Boxe academy and is considered as one of the deadliest and an extremely accurate striker. The wiry and cat-like fighter prefers fighting standing up despite being extremely solid on the ground. He is considered a headhunter and his kicks, razor-sharp punches and knees are a lethal weapon against his opponents. The fighter also is a showman to the core and uses strategies like taunting the opponent to break down their strategies.

Although his record in the Pride championship is dismal (0-2) so far but his record in the Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) of 19-8 makes up for it.

Achievements:

  • He defeated Mitch McElroy using the Knee bar submission in the Bodog Fight in Costa Rica .
  • Defeated Alexander Shlemenko in the WFC - World Free Fight Challenge 2 .
  • He defeated Alexander Shlemenko again in the JF 5 - Jungle Fight 5.
  • Pele knocked out Fabricio Monteiro in the JF 4 - Jungle Fight 4.
  • Matt Hughes was his next victim to be knocked out in the Warriors War 1
  • Waldir dos Anjos followed Matt Hughes as the next victim of Pele.
  • His victory over Martijin de Jong in the 2 Hot 2 Handle match was a memorable moment.
  • Jose Landi Jons defeated Pat Miletich in the WEF 8 - Goin' Platinum match.
  • He defeated Rodney Faverus in the Amsterdam Absolute Championship 2.
  • Milton Bahia, Chuck Lidell and Gerald Taylor lost to him in the IVC-5- The warriors.
  • He defeated Evangelina Santos, Touro Touro and Lourival da Silva in the BVF 8 - Campeonato Brasileiro de Vale Tudo 2.
  • He also had victories over major opponents.

Jose Landi Jons has defeated many more wrestlers in his career so far by sheer talent and brutal force along with impeccable skills. His record does not justify his true talent. Jose “Pele” Landi Jons is sure to achieve greater heights in his career than he already has and is bound to be the all time greatest wrestler. His record is bound to improve and will surely be better in the years to come. His trainer (and manager) will make sure that his career graph goes up and that the fighter reaches his top form and produces top results.
