One of the most promising professional fighters to have come from Iowa is Josh Neer, a youngster with a tremendous heart and the will to succeed. He hails from Des Moines and is trained in mixed martial arts. A young fighting star, he was born in 1983 and started his career at an early age. He has adopted the lethal fighting style of Muay Thai Boxing and Miletich wrestling. This combination lends an air of intimidation for him and he has adopted this to the best of his advantage and made many opponents fear him even before the fight actually started. He started his amateur fights in the year 2002 and was an instant success due to his hard training and dedication to the sport. He has never backed out from learning new techniques to enhance his skills and make him a better fighter. Owing to these qualities, he never lost a match in his amateur career and the tally stands at an impressive 11-0. This prompted his trainers to get him induced in the professional arena and he made his professional debut in March 2003 and knocked his opponent out in the first fight itself. With this thundering win, he announced to the world that he was ready to become a force to be reckoned with in the filed of professional wrestling.

He has been nicknames ‘The Dentist’ for his hard hitting punches that refigure the jaws of many of his opponents. He has amazing striking abilities and can be lethal within seconds of the beginning of a fight. He has won many fights on The Ultimate Fight Night and his streak of ten consecutive wins, including the XKK (Xtreme Kage Kombat) title in the welterweight division. He is one of the most feared fighters in his division and has rightly gotten many awards for his fighting prowess. He is equally good at winning by knockouts as well as by submissions and that makes him a great overall fighter. Standing tall at five feet eleven inches, he is one of the fittest fighters in his league and is as agile as the best fighters in the business. A winner in a lot of tournaments like Gladiators 20, XKK, American Fighting Association, Extreme Challenge 61-64, Greensparks Championship 5 and International Fight League, he has made his presence felt in the field of extreme wrestling. With a professional record of 22-6-1, he is all set to challenge the title holder in his division. He is trained by Pat Miletich and is said to be one of the most dedicated youngsters in training. He realizes the value of hard training in reaping benefits and looks all set to be a title winner in the near future.
