Nathan Diaz

Nathan Donald Diaz also popularly known as Nate Diaz was born on 16th April, 1985. Nate weighs about 70kg and 6 feet in height. Specializing in Brazilian jiu- jitsu, he is an American mixed martial art fighter and fights in the Jens Pulver’s team. Nathan is very well known for his younger brother Nick Diaz, who has an exceptional record and outstanding victories in the Ultimate Fighting Championships and in Pride Fighting Championships. Nate first Pro fight was in 2004 against Alex Garcia.
Being born and brought up in Concord, California, Nathan is currently being trained by the Brazilian Jiu- Jitsu black belt Cesar Gracie and is associated with the very famous Cesar Gracie Jiu- Jitsu Academy which is situated in Pleasant Hill, California. Nathan Diaz presently holds a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and also competes in the lightweight division.
Just the reason of not having much to do, Nathan began his training when he was quite young, along with his brother Nick Diaz. Believing in getting his brother ready to win his fights is as good as getting himself also ready to fight what exactly what kept him going. He soon became one of the main sparring partners who wanted to help his brother throughout, in winning a lot of fights.
Setting a record, he defeated Rob Emerson in the preliminary round, and advanced towards the quarter final defeating Pulver teammate Corey Hill by way of a triangle coke in the first round. This was not the end of his success story, he went to the semi-finals and defeated Penn teammate Gray Maynard via submission and also faced Manvel Gamburyan in the finals defeating him by making him tapped out resulting as an ultimate winner.
Standing out with an outstanding mixed martial arts record, Nate have 6 wins, 2 by knockouts, 4 by submissions, 2 losses and no draws. Naming few victories, includes WC- Warrior Cup against Dennis Davis by submission, WEC 21- Tapout against Joe Hurley via submission, WEC 20- Cinco de Mayhem against Gil Rael by TKO, Strike Force- Shamrock vs. Gracie against Tony Juares by TKO and WEC 12- Halloween Fury 3 against Alex Garcia by submission (triangle choke).
Nate enrolled himself in a lot of Jiu Jitsu tournaments and also practiced couple of kick boxing smokers and boxing smokers with professional boxers. Also believing in practice makes a man perfect, Nate usually trains him by doing a lot of boxing, and wrestling with Jiu Jitsu, MMA.
Nate eats a lot of natural foods, organic foods and also tries to eat lower carbs. He prefers no other meat except fish and shrimps and ignores turkey, chicken and beef. He also does a little bit of weight training, not really heavy weights but heavy reps and light weights and is also a contestant on the Ultimate Fighter 5 show.
