Nathan Quarry also popularly known as “Rock” weighing about 84 kg and 6 ft in height is a mixed martial art fighter, and is one of the most remarkable and noticeable personality in  The Ultimate Fighter, which is a reality show from the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

He started off his career as a mixed martial artist, initially with no prior experience, but eventually landed up fighting for the Middleweight Belt in 2005.

More popular than the current Mr. Olympia, Quarry is known for his sturdy, stunning and prevailing persona. He came from a background of the Jehovah’s Witnesses, upbringing, which he later characterized as a religious group, which controls over their members all over the day. Growing in a restricted lifestyle, Nathan never participated in any of the structured sports, until the age of 24, when he made his debut in the world of Martial Arts.

After a certain phase, Quarry refused to be a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses; as a result, he was separated from his family and former friends. The spirit and the athleticism attracted him towards the game. As being separated, he began to connect with the people outside the church and simultaneously started his mixed martial arts training.

He stood victorious against Drew McFedries, in the second round by TKO, which made his professional mixed martial arts career debut remarkable and memorable. After setting up an exceptional record of 5-1, Nathan was invited to the mixed martial arts competition to feature MMA talent in confidentiality with the UFC and was also invited to one of the most popular reality television show, by the UFC named The Ultimate Fighter. Unfortunately, he couldn’t participate in the competition due to an ankle injury while practice, which required six weeks to recover. Even though, he stayed on and continued as an assisted coach.

Making an impressive UFC debut on the Ultimate Fighter finale card, his stupendous performance amazed everybody, when he defeated Loudine Sincaid via TKO. Defeating his opponents in his first two fights in the UFC, all in the first round itself, gave him an opportunity at the middleweight title at UFC 56 which was held on November 19, 2005. When competed with the middleweight champion Rich Franklin, he was defeated by knockout in the first round itself.

Due to various injuries suffered by Nathan, prior to his match with the middleweight champion Rich Franklin, unfortunately, he hasn’t fought in any of the matches since then, but came back in action by June 2006. Due to his numerous years of hard work and training, he underwent a chronic back successful surgery, which took place, as soon after his fight with Rich.
