Pedro Rizzo

Pedro Rizzo is a Brazilian based Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighter, who was born on May 3, 1974 in the legendary city of Rio de Janeiro. He is not only a professional fighter, but also specializes in kickboxing. With a qualified MMA record, Rizzo is considered as a terrific athlete amongst other MMA performers.
Popularly known as ‘The Rock’, Pedro Rizzo is termed as a highly trained MMA wrestler, with an amazing statistics of 187 cm height and 103 kg weight. He specializes in Ruas Vale Tudo fighting style and has earned comprehensive wins over prominent fighters from this field. Some of the fighters include Mark Coleman, Ricco Rodriguez, Josh Barnett, Dan Severn, and Andrei Arlovski. Some of the major wins of Pedro Rizzo comprise of his record kickboxing winning matches of the Brazilian Muay Thai Championship, wherein he has been adjudged four-time winner.
Pedro Rizzo has obtained special Vale Tudo training under the tutelage of legendary Marco Ruas, who has empowered him with powerful leg kicks and strong stand up fighting, which has further helped him in winning cage matches successfully. However, as every fighter faces ups and downs in his fighting career, Rizzo has also had setbacks pertaining to the Japanese PRIDE event. Soon after, Pedro Rizzo made a winning comeback on March 9, 2007, where he defeated UFC expert Justin Eilers at the debut show of Undisputed Arena Fighting Championships in Dallas, Texas. This win was judged as per unanimous decision.
As per Joe Rogan, a famous UFC commentator, Rizzo is one of the greatest strikers in MMA. He stated this during the UFC 45 broadcast. He also went on to say that Pedro Rizzo had the capability of crushing every opponent if he adopted the aggressive stance like Wanderlei Silva. Further, Rogan commented on Pedroz’s style of combating and eventually concluded by saying that he is the best striker available in MMA.
Pedro Rizzo has therefore proved his MMA credentials on a consistent basis, and as a result, has generated tremendous fan following throughout the world.
