It's a make-or-break situation for Fabricio Werdum

Travis Wiuff

Travis Wiuff

Travis Wiuff also known as Travis “Diesel” Wiuff is one of the major forces in today’s world of wrestling. He started wrestling at the age of five. He is considered as a pure wrestler and owes all his skills and achievements to wrestling. He debuted in the Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) in 2002, Travis Wiuff has fought in excess of 50 fights. He followed a near super-human schedule and fought 15 fights in the year of 2003 itself. Diesel is the proud holder of an extremely enviable win-loss record. His record of 44-10 speaks for itself about the skill and talent of the fighter. He trained under top fighters, Dave Menne and Pat Miletich, he was undefeated and won 19 straight fights from the March of 2003 until his unfortunate loss at the hands of Renato "Babalu" Sobral in the April of 2005. Along with his wrestling abilities, Diesel is also blessed with an extremely good physique and his inside fighting skills and striking abilities are highly regarded. In his debut in the PRIDE championships, Wiuff will take on a veteran, Kazuhiro Nakamura.

Some of his major victories and achievements are:

  • Travis Wiuff defeated Arthur Cesar in the IFC Caged Combat in a match which lasted for a mere 3minutes and 9 seconds.
  • He defeated Jason Guida in the XFO 14 - Xtreme Fighting championships.
  • Fabiano Capoani suffered a major loss at the hands of Wiuff in the Battle at the Boardwalk.
  • Jimmy Westfall was another victim of the ruthless mannerism of the Diesel in the Extreme Challenge 65.
  • William Hill lost to Travis in the IFC’s Rock ‘N Rumble.
  • Matt Horwich in the Extreme Challenge 62 suffered heavy damages against Travis Wiuff.
  • Ron Fields lost to Travis in the Rochester Fights.
  • In the classic Euphoria match of USA Vs Rest Of The World, the diesel defeated Antoine Jaoude.
  • In the XKK-St.Paul Combat, he defeated Ruben Villareal.
  • John Dixon lost to th diesel in the Extreme Challenge 58.

Travis “Diesel” Wiuff has had a fruitful career till date and with his abilities and crude power that he possesses, Wiuff is surely bound to achieve even greater victories in the 100 odd years of wrestling that he has to come before him. Travis Wiuff with his physical structure coupled along with his mental strength and his stature, is a major force to reckon with for all the wrestlers in the heavyweight category. He is respected by one and all. He is bound to be induced in the MMA and PRIDE hall of fame. He has been a great source of inspiration to many wrestlers. People have often tried imitating his style but have failed to do so for nobody does it better than the man himself.
