Wesley Correira, nicknamed as Cabbage, was born on the 14th of November in the year 1978 in the city of Hilo in the state of Hawaii in the United States of America. He weighs 265 lbs and falls in the 260-300 lbs weight division group. He is well skilled in the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) style of fighting and is also an accomplished boxer. He is trained by one of the best trainer’s ever, B J Penn and is managed by J D Penn.
He is associated with the BJ Penn’s Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) association and is a major force to reckon with in the association. His home country is the United States of America. He is an American Mixed Martial Arts fighter and trains with BJ Penn in the state of Hawaii. He is extremely famous for his ability to sustain blows on his face without getting knocked out. The ability is referred to as the “chin” ability. He displayed his extremely strong ability in a fight against Tim Sylvia in the UFC 39. Although Cabbage lost the fight, he still lost it with great pride as it took the opponent 2 full rounds to knock him out. He once said that his skull is made up of concrete. His record in 2007 hasn’t been really impressive (1-4 win-loss) but is by no means a measure of his immense talents, skills and abilities. He lost his last fight against Antonio Silva on February 10th, 2007.
In his last fight, on 10th of February, 2007, Correira was stopped by Antonio Silva at 3:49 of the first round. The fight took place at the début show of EliteXC and was broadcast on Showtime. As of March, 2007 Correira is 1-4 in his last five fights. His signature moves are the Stoppage cut and the Cut eye.

- He knocked out Manny Chong at the FFCF 4 – Collision.
- Junior Sua was another opponent he knocked out cold in the ROTR.
- He defeated Lloyd Marshbanks on the ROTR-showdown in Maui.
- He defeated David “ Tank” Abott in the UFC-45 Revolution.
- Cabbage got the better of Steve Sayegh in the Rumble on The Rock.
- Wesley defeated Justin Eilers in the SB 30- collision course.
- Sean Alvarez who lost in the UFC 42 sudden impact was his next victim.
- He defeated Joe Riggs in Rumble on The Rock 1.
- Jason Lambert lost to him in the Super Brawl 27.
- He also defeated one of the greatest fighters of all times, Travis Wiuff, in return of the Heavyweights.
Wesley “Cabbage” Correira is one of the most feared American fighters in the MMA and is highly regarded and respected amongst friends and foes equally.
