Yushin Okami
Also known as "The Wolf", Yushin Okami was born in 1981 on 21 July. He is one of the leading mixed martial artists in Japan. Presently he fights for Ultimate Fighting Championship or (UFC). His professional career started in 2002. His initial record was of six wins. However, his winning streak was halted by Amar Suloev. He has also fought for associations such as PRIDE Fighting Championships and Pancrase. He is mainly a middleweight fighter.
He got a good exposure when he fought for leading fighting for Hawaii, Rumble on the Rock. The organization had world class fighting champions such as Renato Verissimo, Jake Shields and Anderson Silva.
He was declared winner in the very first round itself as his opponent Anderson Silva fought using illegal means. Yushin okami then fought against Jake Shields, a crowd favorite, and lost. After this event, he emerged champion in two of the Japanese events in which he fought. He then signed for Ultimate Fighting Championship.
In his first Ultimate Fighting Championship 62, he fought against Alan Belcher. In UFC 66, he made his third appearance. Some of his opponents are,

After winning in continuity for three times Ultimate Fighting Championship, he fought against the organizations number one fighter, Mike Swick. Okami went to win the match at UFC 69. The match bought him to the league of champions in Mixed Martial Arts fighter. However, he lost at UFC 72 to Rich Franklin, a former middleweight champion with UFC in Belfast. Okami has been training continuously to be the best in the world. Standing at six feet two inch, he has been performing consistency well. He works and trains hard to improve his technique and fighting skills. He prepares himself very hard before a match, and also works on the weakness of his opponents. It is belief in himself and training that in a very short time span he has emerged as the leading Mixed Martial Artist player.
Ultimate Fighting Championship is the organization that aims to have best players be a part of the organization. However, of late the organization has been under scrutiny for the bloodshed and violence caused in the matches. There are very few rules at UFC, as a result players aim only at winning irrespective of the means employed.
