Yves Edwards

Yves Edwards

Yves Edwards was born in the Nassau of Bahamas. He is one of the most versatile fighters, who has gained experience in mixed martial arts. He has gained a title of the ultimate fighter championship title under the lightweight category. Yves started his training for karate early in his childhood. However, he it was only later that he learned Kung fu and discovered his potential in MMA.

According to Yves he got inspiration for becoming a fighter from the comic books, which he used to read. The super heroes of the comic book motivated him to take this career line. He wanted to take up a career, which would make him stand out from the large crowd of people. He wanted to look strong and different. His teenage was a very favorable time for him as he learned many techniques of wrestling during his teenage. He learned a bit in Bahamas and the rest lessons were learned in Houston.

He has his own style of wrestling and when he comes on the stage he enters in the rather a very ostentatious manner, with a hat on his hand and batman boxer shorts, with a special catwalk. He has his own style of making his presence felt.

He has been living in Houston for very long time, since his childhood. In his initial years of learning he learned only few of techniques of fighting, as there was no source of learning in Bahamas. Basically, he learned grappling art, rear naked choke and how form a arm bar.

Was very amazing in this fighter is that his techniques and method of fighting is very unpredictable. Every time he is in the wrestling court his opponents are unable to make out his fighting strategy. He is one of the most efficient competitors of MMA. Yves himself aggress that he loves try new methods and techniques and that while he is fighting he loves to take charge of the match by being aggressive in the first attack itself. He admits that being aggressive can give you charge of the match right in the beginning and if he gets a chance he does capitalizes it to show his flying kick and head kick. He is athletic and lean, which make s him quick.

Yves admits that he loves to take advantage of his opponent’s mistakes to capitalize over the opportunity. He loves to give a toe-to toe fight to his opponents who want to fight with him fight this way.

His high energy levels are maintained because of his well-maintained body, which he uses along with his clever techniques to first take the opponent down and then later dominating him. For Yves wrestling is a mental game and that is only reason he has being a winner many time. He loves to use his mind and wrestling skills for planning the game.
