-Inspect your roof regularly

One of the simplest things that you can do outside is hop on a ladder and inspect your roof for any damage, missing tiles or potential dangers. With the size of some hailstones during previous storms, you could easily have a few broken or missing tiles on your roof, which, in turn, would mean that your ceiling could soon spring a leak. If any tiles are missing or fascia boards have come loose, be sure to replace and reattach them as soon as possible.

-De-leaf your downpipes

Gutters, drains and downpipes are important for preventing serious water damage to your property, so if you’d like to keep the wetness on the outside during a storm, then be sure to remove any debris on a regular basis leading up to the summer months. And if there are any difficult-to-reach areas on your roof, use a hosepipe or high-pressure cleaner to loosen and remove leaves.

-Wash your windows

It’s never pleasant looking out of a dirty window, so whenever you clean the inside glass, be sure to give the exterior a wash as well with a warm water and vinegar solution and a squeegee. Clean windows also make a much better impression on potential buyers, so keep that in mind should you wish to sell your house in future.

-Revive your face brick

If your home’s exterior is face brick, you will know that it can get quite dirty very quickly due to the roughness of the bricks. While you may not notice the dirt on face brick, it’s still a good idea to give all the walls a clean once in a while to remove any dirt, stains and unwanted critters.
